Oceans – IOTW Report

Oceans

(Where Feet May Fail)

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown
Where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours
You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed
And You won’t start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours
And You are mine (You are mine)

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
And take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
And take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah

Oh, Jesus, You’re my God

I will call upon Your name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace

I am Yours
And You are mine

  1. Hillsong is seductive. Hillsong is a cult of personality(s). I have been to several “Hillsong churches” where the pastor is the star of the show, instead of God’s Word.

  2. MJA – I listen to contemporary (and old timey) gospel when I’m working alone at my clients’ homes. My work is a foil for my mission field. I know the Holy Spirit orders my steps and I am at those homes for a particuar reason. So, I do my work and pray for them to really know the Lord Jesus. 95% of them do not. At some point I manage to slip in a casual remark of my relationship with him.

After two weeks of gospel music and praying over her home,
one such woman wrote this in a thank you card to me: “I can feel the love coming through my walls.”

Mission accomplished. Now I leave it to God for the harvest.

  3. All the glory belongs to God and not to Hillsong and other faux so called worship bands. They’re one of the reasons I dislike most contemporary Christian worship music because they make it all about them and not about God. I’ll take listening to John Michael Talbot and Michael Card over Hillsong every day of the week. JMT and Michael Card’s music is transcendent and takes me into the presence of God and they’re both extraordinary musicians of the best kind while Hillsong is hack worship music of the mediocre kind.
