Odd Reversal – California Sheriff Now Says No Conclusion of Suicide in Mysterious Death of DHS Whistle-blower

Conservative Treehouse: The Armador County Sheriff’s department now appears to be walking back their initial claim of suicide in the death of DHS Whistle-blower Phillip Haney.  In addition to the announcement the sheriff’s office has requested assistance from the FBI:

  1. The FBI? We can rest easy now. They’re going to look into the matter.
    If you are going to check out almost no one shoots themselves in the chest. He was about to drop some information on the wrong people. He had it backed up from what I hear so this may not be over.

  2. The finger and hand prints on the gun should give it away as either a suicide or not a suicide.

    FWIW, fingerprints made after death are not the same as those made while alive and can be identified as such with a reasonable degree of accuracy, along with being able to fairly closely identify how the gun was being held while they were made. The FBI is very good at identifying this sort of forensic evidence.

  3. He was engaged to be remarried. There were no indications of problems. But suddenly he went and… shot himself… in the chest?!?! Yeah right sure.

    By the way, Peter Buttigieg is a CIA agent.

  4. Perhaps an independent autopsy examination has been requested and the sheriff doesn’t want to look compromised. Maybe the county ME won’t sign off on suicide. Sheriff shouldn’t speculate on such matters regardless.
