Millennials have possibly the worst reputation of any generation in American history. They’re known for being entitled, lazy, overly optimistic, idealistic, and addicted to social media. It begs the question, who would want to be characterized as a millennial?
In response to this question, older millennials born on the cusp of Generation X and Y have chosen to use the term “Xennial.” According to Mama Mia, they are the micro generation born between 1977 and 1983 who grew up without video games but became digitally savvy as adults and share Gen-Xers cynicism and Gen-Y’s optimism.
Dan Woodman, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Melbourne, describes them as growing up to Nirvana but love technology. Basically, someone who knows how to order Prozac on an app.

Baby boomers are by far the worst generation! Frankenstein’s monster was just that… Frankenstein’s. The baby boomers created the monster that is the millennials.
Again with this generational division garbage. I propose this: The Liberty Generation.
The Liberty Generation is anyone alive, no matter his age, who values freedom of the individual and the institutions that preserve it above all else.
Millenials get a bad rap. I work with adolescent kids (ages 16-23), and I must say, the vast majority of them are great kids. All they want to do is graduate from high school, get a job so they can have gas money, and perhaps go to college. Thinking back when I was their age, that’s all I wanted too. The kids I work with have shown me nothing but respect, are polite, and very grateful. Yes, of course there are going to be some assholes who are none of those things, but every generation has them.
Naw, I think the Millenials are ok for the most part.
My son is 3 and I guaran dang tee you he isn’t a “millennial”.
