Steve Martinez witnessed a crime, but he’s unwilling to testify about it in court. You see, Steve is one of the Dakota Access Pipeline protestors and he was there when fellow protestor Sophia Wilansky nearly had her arm blown off by some explosive device.
The protestors all claim that the police tossed some kind of concussion grenade over their barricade while the officers hold that the radicals had rigged up a propane tank to explode if law enforcement tried to tear it down.
A federal grand jury looking into the incident has subpoenaed Steve and he’s suppose to appear February 1st.

I read in the “more” section where he said “Losing my freedom is a small price to pay for keeping my dignity and standing up for what is right” So he thinks it is right to throw bottles at police-to try to bomb them with a propane bomb? His so called mother earth has taken care of herself for millions of years and she doesn’t need an azz like him to defend her. What’s he going to do when God rains hail and brimstones upon this planet once again because of stupid people like him? Build the pipeline-build the wall and let all these tree huggers move to a third world country and set up a commune.

The real reason this particular band of Sioux Indians are opposing the pipeline – because it doesn’t go across their reservation – therefore they get no royalties from the oil company.

Well, if he wants to refuse to testify before a grand jury and the judge decides to hold him in contempt then let him enjoy the status of being a martyr in a federal prison.
