On San Francisco’s BART: “Please look around you for needles before you sit down”

DC: A San Francisco bus driver made a series of announcements regarding the possibility of needles being left on or under seats, painting a dismal picture of just how dire things have become in the city plagued with homelessness and trash.

Buzzfeed reporter Caroline O’Donovan tweeted about the announcements on Thursday.

This morning in San Francisco, BART conductor on the PA: “Please look around you for needles before you sit down. There’s at least one needle in car 1551 and there may be others. Thank you.”

The warning was repeated several times, each time the bus stopped and more passengers boarded.

  1. What utopia looks like. And when confronted about the miserable life pelosi and others engineered, they are defiant. The rest of us would either try to reverse our failures or disappear in shame. Not this lot.
