On November 3, voters in Oregon’s Coos County voted to separate themselves from de jure compliance with state and federal gun control laws by giving their sheriff the job of deciding which laws are constitutional–and therefore deserving of compliance–and which are not.

  1. This is also the home of the best golf resort in North America, Bandon Dunes. You don’t go there for anything else other than golf, (eating and drinking of course) but if there are golfers in the crowd it would be fun. Possibly a 3-4 day iOTW, bring your own ammo golf tournament.

  2. Interesting. This action by Eastern Oregon (just North of me) wuld come as no surprise. It’s always been very Conservative. But Coos County? It’s VERY unusual for a coastal county to take this step. Maybe common sense is beginning to catch on?
