Oregon: Portland police record highest number of death investigations in single month in more than three decades

By Maxine Bernstein | The Oregonian/OregonLive

Portland police are scrambling to respond to 15 homicides in the city so far in July. That’s the most killings in one month in more than three decades, they said.

So far this year, 24 people have died in homicides in Portland.

The most recent killing was Tuesday night, a 34-year-old woman who was stabbed at a Northeast Portland residence after returning from a vigil in memory of 27-year-old Tyrell Penney, who was killed in a shooting Saturday night at Southeast Division Street and 158th Avenue.

There have been a total of 63 shootings so far this month compared to 28 in July 2019, according to the Police Bureau.

While homicides, assaults, burglaries and vandalism are up this year compared to last year, total person-to-person and property crimes are still down from prior years, according to bureau figures. more

  1. The hood.
I live a few miles from 158th and division and I’m about to move soon. This stuff has been creeping outward from Portland for years. The Dems ruin everything they fix. Don’t go out unarmed. The vote is rigged in Oregon big time and they are well organized. They put flyers on everyone’s front door handles at all the lower income areas with propaganda on who and what to vote for a few days before.
I may end up being a victim, but I’m taking them down.

  2. Oregonian has a sob story about an ANTIFA bitch who drove her Prius into a riot and the police disabled it by flattening the tires. She had it marked PRESS, but subhumans wearing PRESS have been throwing objects and shining high powered lasers at LEO.

Of course The O does not allow the readers to comment and correct the record. I don’t go to their site any longer because of that.
