  1. The one thing I learned from inspections while I was in the Navy is that you never lock your knees while standing still in place. We had a sailor fall flat on his face while being inspected in our dress white uniforms on the flight deck of the USS Kitty Hawk CV63 once. The black non skid surface of the flight deck is very unforgiving and hard when you do a face plant into it.
