This isn’t a story about football. It’s about an athletically gifted young man, Malcolm Mitchell, who found out in college that he was reading at a junior high level.
So he set his mind to improving his reading skills by going to his local Barnes and Nobles to find books. That’s when he met Kathy Rackley
who told him about her book club of middle-aged ladies. Malcolm Mitchell asked to join.
Now he’s a published author who promotes reading to children.
Cue the BLM’s shouting ‘Uncle Tom’ in 3,2,1…
Now that hes educated whos going to be the first liberal to call him an Uncle Tom and that hes not really black?
A young man who took the responsibility to improve his reading skills on his own and not blame others?! Amazing! That was a nice, uplifting story. I needed something uplifting. 😉
A heartwarming story, to be sure, but the real problem being ignored is the collegiate athletic system that gives these guys a pass (literally) and a degree when they have not earned it.
The Patriots aren’t dummies, they probably already knew that about him. Go Pats!
Go Dawgs!!!
Won’t see this story on the alphabet news …

For me this is unquestionably the best story of the day. Very cool that this young man improved his life in such a determined fashion.
Dawg fans have been following Malcolm Mitchell throughout his college career. What a great guy. Hope he makes it in the NFL, but he fails, what a great career he has with children’s books.
Great story. We need more like that. The wussie sportscasters will probably treat him like Tim Tebow. Go Malcolm
Sounds like a very good young man. Inspirational.
I hope the lime light of professional sports doesn’t change him.
Lord knows there are great need for our youth to look up to and immolate.
I, for one, hope that nobody immolates him.
