The suspect, father of a 22-month-old Levi Axtell, reportedly knew convicted pedophile Lawarence Scully, and also believed he had sexually offended against children in previous years.
Axtell claimed he saw the man park in a vehicle in areas where children congregated, and felt he would reoffend against someone.
On what appeared to be a family member’s Facebook page on Saturday, a woman named Katrina Axtell wrote to the community, saying she was overwhelmed by the support they have received since the recent incident. Continues

It’s Minnesota. The Legislature will pass a law giving protected status to pedophiles and the Governor will happily sign it. Getting on the sex offender list will become trendy. It might even gain right-of-passage status … like abortion.
I’ve been watching this case since late last week on local Duluth TV news. The reporting started with one man killing another with no mention of motive. Note how the motive is buried and states that the Axtell “thought” Scully “believed he sexually offended children in the past.”
