People Bewildered That a Homeless Guy Given a Tiny House Can’t Just Park It Wherever He Wants

What is wrong with people? You just can’t claim a piece of the street as your own and put up a little house.

And I cannot stand the dimwitted women reporter who throws in an “awwwwwwwwww” to imply that there are meanies out there that are ruining everything. It gives her the sads.

10 News – A group of San Diegans are outraged after building a tiny house for a homeless man only to have police arrest him for living in it.

Lisa Kogan was among those who raised money to have the tiny home built.

“What has really hit me in my heart is there’s a need out here, there’s a need for people to have shelter,” Kogan said.

  1. Those people weren’t homeless.
Why didn’t they invite “Red” to move in with one of them?
Or at least give him space to pitch a tent in their yard?
It’s simple. They wanted “Red” to block the sidewalk and become a problem for everyone but them.
Compassion requires suffering by as many people as possible

  2. kogan just bailed this guy out of jail and has a facebook page devoted to his plight. she probably is shopping at home depot for lumber as i type.

does she realize that her actions caused his incarceration?

downtown sd on commercial is littered with bums who have taken over the streets with their tarps and shopping carts.

within days his shack would have been tagged with graffiti or stolen.

  3. Shit! I coulda gone into business years ago building portable cardboard houses of good quality and sold them to the NYC Housing Authority at 5K a pop, and they could give them to the homeless and the homeless could take them to Larchmount and Chapaqua, and Forrest Hills and Tuxedo Park, by bus or train, or taxi and set them up on those huge manicured lawns they have.
If I only had some political contacts and the media on my side,” I coulda been a contender,” I coulda been a millionaire.

Bust your ass all your life for what you have and now it comes to this? I can’t take it anymore.

Lisa Kogan, whoeverthefuckyouare, kiss my ass!

  4. If they wanted to increase cheap housing, all they have to do is remove restrictions, especially in areas where rich democrats get property tax breaks for “conservation easements” and otherwise make it illegal to build.
