A tourist from New Zealand was killed by a jet blast Wednesday at Caribbean beach famous for being under low-flying aircraft. According to the 721 news site, the 57-year-old woman was holding on to the fence separating St. Maarten’s Malo Beach from Princess Juliana International Airport when the blast from a departing Boeing 737 threw her to the ground, causing a fatal head injury. The beach is popular with thrill-seekers and plane-spotters, though warning signs reading ” Do not stand. Danger. Jet Blast”

  1. Facebook is running this on their stupid “Trending” sidebar. it’s amazing how many of the linked comment pages are people wanting some fix or regulation. The urge to want government to do something to expand control upon every freak occurrence is very strong, instead of simply recognizing that stupid people do stupid things.
