It’s funny because he looks like he can play it cool now at 80 but that he was a dork with a gay scarf and striped pants at 30.
He’s a perfect example of the reason why parents should emphasize music lessons over sports. You can only play sports for so long but you can play music your entire life !
There’s a name for people that participated in music over athletics at a young age. Victim. Honestly I admire this old guy, but come on!

I don’t recognize it as Besame Mucho, but speaking of Brazilian jazz the Pandora station “Brazilan Soul (The Jazzy Joint Mix)” is a darn fine station IME. Maybe someone else will enjoy it as well.

You are correct. That is not Besame Mucho. The guy has chops for sure. And that’s a damn nice vintage Epiphone Riviera he’s playing.

I got to spend a lot of time with a lot of cute girls in Concert Choir.
Having lettered in athletics 3 years straight was a huge plus with them, too.
The saying: “He’s a real man’s man” came across very gay back then. What guy preferred to hang around with men only? Gays – macho gays!
And wrestling was the gayest sport in school. If one prefers to smell a stinky male armpit over being around the girls – well I think you’re definitely gay at that point, whether you know/admit it or not.
Nor is Besame Mucho Brazilian jazz. Most wouldn’t notice I assume heh. I’ve seen several grade B Syfy movies that substitute spanish for portuguese while supposedly on location in old Brazil 😉
The shop keeper failed to mention that Brian Williams had been in earlier that day and played Beethoven’s entire 5th symphony on a ukelele.
