Please tell me this is fake news – Oh, geez, it’s real

Charlie Rose lacked diversititty® bfh iOTWreport.com.

IL– Charlie Rose was racist for not sexually harassing black women at his workplace, at least that’s what Esquire’s Rebecca Carroll suggested in a recent column.

From Esquire, “My Experience at Charlie Rose Went Beyond Sexism”:

As one powerful man after another faces allegations of sexual misconduct, we’re still not talking about the ramifications for black women.

… And while many of us on staff were subject to Charlie’s unsolicited shoulder massages and physical intimidation, as he towered above us at a height over six feet tall, the women Charlie preferred and preyed upon—at least that I witnessed—were white. It was an environment that all but erased me, while simultaneously exploiting me as a black woman. …

In America, the most desirable woman in the room—the most sacred, coveted, enshrined woman—has always been the white woman. …

To be clear, I’m not suggesting it would have been preferable for Charlie to have preyed upon me, too—but rather, his sexualization of white women was a manifestation of gendered power dynamics in the same way that his not sexualizing me was an expression of racialized power dynamics.

!snip!

Hey Charlie. If you do happen to find a new job, try and get a little Jungle Fever, in the spirit of diversititty.

  1. Wasn’t there a survey out a few years ago on racial preference of sexual partners? Per that study, regardless of the race of the male, black females were always considered the least desirable. This woman is a perfect example of why.

  2. LOL 😂
The lack of diversity among the victims is a clear sign of racism! We need quotas for that!

Pbird, I was going to complain about that, but then I remembered that I received my share of catcalls in Brazil, where it used to be normal back then

  3. Okay – black women not harassed! O the humanity! Bill C. never went after a black woman did he.

Remember Cleavon Little: “Where the white women at?”

Think of harassing Moo-chelle? Now you’re talking diversity there!

Right you are, at least in my life so far. I have always had a innate attraction to a type. Because of the death of an old friend this year I did some dwelling….old photos and such. Quite the surprise to find that all the women in my intimate life shared common attributes..in appearance and personality.
Take note rebecca carroll; conceit was not one of those attributes.

  5. LOL! Anonymous, #MeToo envy.

Now they’ll have to educate men to be more inclusive in their sexual abuse. “OK, guys, we met our quota for pretty this month. Someone will have to take one for the team and hit on Whatshername in payroll.”

  6. The ultimate ‘victim’ is the person who was left out after every other person was victimized.
Makes me want to sue the Germans because they didn’t run Auschwitz efficiently enough to get to my family.

Will the last aggrieved person in the room please turn out the lights?
