I have a Fireman buddy that just retired WAY early. He retired because he can’t deal with the young new hires. He says no ability to communicate, except if they’re texting, no mechanical aptitude, no people skills, and they can’t follow simple instructions. He says multi tasking is out the window. He’s bailing out of California and headed for St. George Utah.

Being told ‘no’ they can’t have a cookie until they eat their dinner? Having to go to bed on school nights? Not getting a new iphone, expensive sneakers or jeans? Or maybe they had to empty the dishwasher or take out the trash?
