Pix11: STUART, Fla. — A Florida man made it easy for cops to find him after he used his Facebook profile picture to his own “wanted” poster.
Mack Yearwood, who had two outstanding warrants out for him, was arrested Tuesday. Stuart Police Department wrote on Facebook that they found its suspect when he popped up on a simple Facebook search.
There, in the album of photos for his profile picture, was his “Wanted of the Week” posted from Citrus County Sheriff posted in March. MORE
Facebook seems to bring out the stupid in people.
Some criminals are just plain DUMB! 🙄
OT: Every time I open iOTW I see Admin Girl’s eye over there to the left and it makes this old man sad. 🙁
@ Mad Jack. Kinda like She’s watching over us.
@CFM, I’m sure you’re right! 🙂
You would not believe how often people get tripped up with their own social media in court.
I recall a child support case in which the father represented in court that he was working for $11/hour. The mother challenged his allegation by showing a printout from his Facebook page in which he bragged about making $14/hour.
Guess what? The magistrate based the order on the higher salary.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Facebook is a idiot filter the police use to thin out the herd of idiots.
