Eight vehicles of the Catlettsberg Police Department in Kentucky had their new Blues Lives Matter skull decals removed after complaints that The Punisher inspired design is based on a vigilante character who willingly murders evil doers in the pursuit of personal justice.

I’m old school. Unless your department is staffed by twelve year olds that decal does not belong on a police car.
Agreed, unprofessional at best. A skull is inappropriate in that context.
Executes justice on evil doers, what’s the problem?
Shee-it! Jes’ speaking truth to power. ….Lady in Red
what a great design. That is cool. Kids would love to get pulled over by a car like that.
In the article, chief Logan is quoted as sayingThat decal represents that we will take any means necessary to keep our community safe. It’s appalling that the chief’s statement went without comment or reaction. It is not the job of police to use any means necessary to do their jobs. It is the job of the police to safeguard the people in their jurisdiction, and their property by acting within the limits of the law they purport to enforce.
When cops become lawless, then why should I not take the same path to protect myself, my family, and property from them when they mistakenly take on the role of prosecutor, judge, and jury?
MAGA
Dang. Screwed up the blockquote. Should be
So according to the article, the citizens liked it, the only councilman quoted was critical of it because of the expense (but apparently council voted for it), and Disney doesn’t seem to have a copyright issue with it. So where the hell is the “Backlash” the article mentions in the first paragraph? Sounds like a typical case where one disgruntled asshole didn’t like it, so the politicians are wetting their pants.
Here’s another cool skull insignia used by those in authority:

They are trying to be trendy and cool. Trying to relate to the yoots.
It doesnt belong on a cop car, but it is a cool design.
bad idea. it would be an ambulance chaser’s dream case for civil litigation if a cop driving one of those cars got into an incident.
Cool decal but probably a little inappropriate. Here’s a Punisher Short for your enjoyment. Good use of Jack Daniels.

Isn’t that the Right Wing Safety Squad logo?

Has no reason to be on a goobermental vehicle of
ANY type. Childish shit at best.
In the article, the police chief says he thought of it as a “warrior’s logo”.
Anyone who thinks of himself as a “warrior” has zero business being a cop. It’s because of guys like this that our police have gone from being enforcers of the law to vigilantes in their own right.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have yet to meet a cop that wasn’t a piece of shit. Overgrown schoolyard bullies, using their badge as a legal outlet to push people around, the lot of them.
