The police chief in Beloit, Wisconsin is asking for people to voluntarily allow police to come into their homes and search it for guns they might not know they have. He said he hopes to find guns linked to crimes.

I know criminals are stupid, but are they THAT stupid?
More important, do free citizens in Wisconsin think so little of their personal privacy to submit to a “voluntary search” of their premises?? This is something a politician thought up, not a cop.
Let’s start with the police department and all other govt offices. Start by looking through lockers, closets, storage areas, car trunks, etc., for firearms not on the official books. Then do ballistic comparisons between bullets fired from all guns found, both official and unofficial, with crime records. Once the enforcers have done that with themselves – under citizen supervision, of course – then let ’em ask the townspeople. I do hope that those townspeople tell them to go engage in reflexive intercourse.
