Reports of shoplifting and vehicle theft increased considerably in Springfield, Ohio, following the arrival of thousands of Haitian refugees, according to data obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation through a records request.
The town, which had a population of 58,622 in 2020, has taken in between 12,000 and 20,000 Haitian refugees over the past three years, marking a population increase of between 20.4% and 34.1%. From 2021 to 2023, Springfield also saw a 51.5% jump in motor vehicle theft reports and a 112.8% spike in reports of shoplifting, data provided by the Springfield Police Division shows.
Springfield residents previously told the DCNF that the influx of Haitians has resulted in an uptick in car accidents, increased housing prices and strained public services. Bryan Heck, Springfield’s city manager, sent a letter to Democratic Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, Republican Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance and Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott in July requesting federal assistance to deal with the pressure migrants had placed on the housing supply. read more

Springfield is the tip of the iceberg. There are scores of Springfields across America. In fact, there is probably a Springfield within an hour’s drive of your house. These New Springfields are not to be confused with the Old Springfields which have been at the rotten core of our big cities for decades, although they are both products of the Democrat party.
While we have spent our lives distracted, dismayed and enthralled with the spectacle of traditional urban blight, the Democrats have been oozing out of their strongholds, insinuating themselves into the governments of our towns and small cities.They take over public health and facilitate lockdowns, they take over school boards to facilitate trannie and purple-hair teachers, they take over city councils to facilitate zoning changes, increased taxes and woke police departments.
They welcome with open arms anything the federal or state government wants to do in their burgs, as long as some money comes with it, and when it all goes to shit on their watch, their solution is to beg the state and federal government for more money.
The crime and destruction wrought by federal population imports into the hinterlands is bad, but it could not have happened without Democrat and RINO facilitators stiff-arming local complainants and the purposeful, aggressive ignorance of the MSM.
One hopes that PDT can begin repatriating these “refugees” infesting our country. They are not immigrants looking to become citizens, after all. But in the end, it will be up to locals to change their governments and their laws to help PDT, by making their cities inhospitable to interlopers, be they Haitians, Afghanis, Somalians, Syrians, Ukrainians or professional Democrats.

Portland/South Portland, ME have been Springfield for 4 yrs now.
Our crime in S.P. went up 2000%. It’s down a bit now because some of the illegals have been shipped out of town.
Cars are being broken into where only 5 yrs ago we didn’t lock the doors at night and now we have to or our vehicles may be gone through.
They’re 30% of our high school too.
The Dems and RINOs keep saying we need them to work but they don’t.
The few who do are pretty much all women and old men.
The men who are teens to 50 or so don’t do anything but talk on the phones all day and collect taxpayer money. The state of Maine is not only paying rents, they’re giving the illegals no money down home loans.
My kids had $10,000 ea saved up and owed nothing and still couldn’t get a first time homeowners loan.
