Poll: John McCain leads challenger Ann Kirkpatrick by 1 point in AZ Senate race

McCain sniffs fingers

HA: A poll released Thursday by Merrill Poll found John McCain is in a tight race for reelection this year. From the Merrill Poll press release:

In a matchup between Sen. John McCain and Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, Arizona voters also are split. McCain draws 41 percent while Kirkpatrick draws 40 percent, with 3 percent saying neither and 16 percent undecided…

The race between McCain and Kirkpatrick is competetive across all demographic groups, with the exception of social conservatism/liberalism. The more conservative voters are, the more likely they are to support McCain.  more

  1. i was asleep at the wheel on this, not sure when az turned to the left on the scotus fill

never thought i would say this, but i am in agreement with mccain on the block of moving forward to fill scalia’s slot during obama’s turn

    maybe i’m missing something else

  2. Fuck this-it assumes Kelli Ward is out-It must be a McCain planted story. She’s neck and neck with him in the primary.

Lord, does he want to die on the Senate floor? He is the most worthless Republican senator, worse the Alexander or Graham and just as bad as the remaining Maine witch.

He’s worse then eczema-he never goes away even in the summer. Did I honest to goodness pull the lever for this asshole?(I pulled it for Palin)

  3. The more Conservative Arizona Voters support mccain?
My Lord, he’s a proven RINO…. they must be brain dead.

So is palin gonna stump for mccain again?
I figure mcCONnell and lindsey graham will, they are as conservative (RINOs) as mccain.

  4. Seeing that photo reminds me of an episode of the TV show “1000 ways to die”, when they did a bit on the real “Typhoid Mary” and how she used to transmit the disease to people to kill them. It involved her rectum, her finger and….well I won’t describe the rest of the story in case somebody is eating right now and reading this.

But McCain is surely a “Typhoid Mary” politician.

  5. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t McStain one of those “You cannot exercise free speech, you cannot associate with ‘those’ people and you cannot express that idea”, to a group of supporters, in an arena you rented, for your event. Yeah, I thought so.
