WaSentinel: The Aloha State Congresswoman was already a long shot in the 2020 race – this may be the final nail in her proverbial coffin.
Hawaii Representative and 2020 Democratic candidate Tulsi Gabbard has been under attack by her own party for months now, and her recent behavior certainly hasn’t helped her cause.
Gabbard drew bizarre criticisms earlier in the 2020 race from Hillary Clinton, of all people, who attempted to smear the Aloha State’s only 2020 candidate as some sort of Russian asset – a popular claim for Clinton, who used a similar insult against then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016. Clinton was swiftly rebuked by a great many Democrats after her swipe at Tulsi, but to little fanfare.
Now, after Gabbard oddly voted “present” on the impeachment of Donald Trump just days ago, it appears as though the long shot candidate is sinking even further in certain polls. MORE HERE
Bye Felicia
Any bets on her switching parties and becoming another (albeit better looking) Susan Collins?
For God’s sake, Tulsi! WTF is wrong with you? You haven’t learned that the party you show such loyalty to has been racist, corrupt and dirty for, at the very least, 160 years? What the hell is wrong with your brain?
The Democrats shut out anyone who is not extreme.
Come November we’ll be finding out how many of their rank and file approve of going this direction and how many don’t.
A”present” vote is nothing more than political cowardice. She wasn’t sent to Congress to take up space. She deserves all the hell she gets.
A vote of “present” is the mark of a lazy, fence sitting coward, see also: Illinois Senator B. Hussein Obama. It should neither be allowed nor tolerated.
That’s how a Russian asset would vote.
A “Present” vote says “This is Bullshit” better than a “Yea” or a “Nay.”
I have no sympathy for her, considering her one of the more dangerous of that tyrannical ilk(D).
It took courage (perhaps suicidal courage) to stand up to Pelosi.
izlamo delenda est …
Yeah and Hillary was way ahead of Trump in ’16 also.
So what? I hear she wipes her butt with pineapples.
Just sayin.
I’d hit that.
I guess not taking a stand is taking a stand?
Her explanation, that she thought Trump did something wrong, but it did not meet the level of impeachment…..would logically be a NO vote?
However, in her attempt to appease both L/R, she failed to understand, only one side (left) does not care about the Constitution or laws….if the end results in removal or damage to Trump, the rules don’t matter and the law is pliable.
Further, her excuse of not weighing in as a presidential candidate is weak tea.
Shoulda skipped the vote, and claimed a “lady problem” day.
Then dared the “misogynists” to call her out, on it.
Voting “present” was about all Obama ever did in the Senate and he became President. So why shouldn’t that work for her?
