  1. What if tRump were a homo, hispanic, with genealogical ties to Marx? There would be an endorsement. Hey Pope. What about people who broke the law and are ‘working’ to elect members of the ‘Rat Party? MessNBC just ran a piece on it.

  2. Hey pope, there are 22 references to building walls in the KJV Bible…from 1 Kings to Daniel 9.
Try reading the Bible and praying before interjecting your thoughts as to who may or may not be a Christian.

I have not seen any reference of a pope being the arbiter to this question or any other. As a matter of fact the pope isn’t even mentioned in the Bible. However there are numerous references to false prophets.

  3. I fondly remember my Dad always saying that Jesuit schools are nothing more than “trade schools for Goddamned Communists”

I am so fed up with Pope Frank and his bizarre unChristian pronouncements on gay marriage, capitalism and “global warming” that after a lifetime of Catholicism I have joined the Southern Baptist Convention.

At the annual convention in June, the Southern Baptist leadership flat out told all the member churches that if any municipal, county, state or federal gummint laws are passed that require places of worship to marry homosexuals, they are to say FUCK YOU via civil disobedience and that they would be backed up by Southern Baptist HQ.(somehow I doubt any such “laws” will apply only to synagogues and churches and the Filthy Moslem Savages’ mosques will be exempt)

  4. As a Catholic, I would say this.

Tear down the towering walls of the Vatican City and fire the Swiss Guard. Let the rabble you love so overwhelm you, Francis.

And know this. Overwhelm you, they will. If not the poor, certainly the Muslims will.

If you’re not willing to do this, and I mean no disrespect, please STFU.

  5. p.s. I tried my best to defend him since the start of his papacy. Can no longer do so.

In good conscience I can defend the Papacy when the pontiff speaks Ex Cathedra but what is oozing from his mouth otherwise is equivalent to insisting the earth is flat.

However, I’m thinking that what he’s spewing is worse than the flat earth business. He is antagonizing people of all faiths and denigrating the Catholic faith in the process. Isn’t this what Marxists do?

  6. As a non-Catholic, I’ve never deemed any Pope “infallible”. In fact, to an Orthodox Christian, the ‘pope’ is simply the Bishop of Rome.

And this one is simply above his pay grade. He’s in fact, simple.

  7. SAY IT, BFH, SAY IT! DON’T HOLD BACK! You’ll only cause yourself health problems.
If you choose not to say it, I will. I’m a Christian, but not a Catholic. I believe in “tough love” and self sufficiency. With all the adjuncts and corollary that go with them.
The Pope is a fuckin’ Nanny State Communist! Why do I say Communist? Because he controls the power of the Big Gun (Swiss Guard-physical) (Biblical faith-mental and emotional).

  8. PJ,

I have never defended the SOB and I never will. He brings scandal to The Church practically every time he opens his big fat pie-hole. What is more, he is worse than a murderer, murders only kill the body, this evil son of a bitch has made a career out of leading innocent souls to an eternity in hell and for that reason alone I (there are other reasons, believe me) can recognize him as a particularly wicked and evil man among wicked and evil men.

  9. Back before Leo X, the de Medici popes were the arbiters of corruption, wealth, and power….nothing new here….power corrupts absolutely….What once was a “universal” body has rotted long ago…

  10. Of course Christians build walls; they always have. Every major city in Europe, including Rome, had walls. Avignon had walls. London and Paris had walls. Jerusalem had walls, as did Tyre, Antioch and Acre. Lots if cities even had multiple walls – a wall around the city, and then a wall around an inner castle or citadel. Cathedrals were designed for defensive purposes as well as for religious purposes. Even many modern communities have walls – lots of limousine liberals live in gated communities and the entire city of Laguna Woods, California is walled and gated.

City walls became obsolete as defensive measures with the invention of the cannon. But we continue to build walls – not necessarily for defense against sworn enemies, but to keep people, particularly the riff raff, out. Frankly, I doubt that many of the folks that live in these gated communities are actually Christian, but most of them pretend to be and a lot of them love them some Pope Francis.

So the Pope is not only wrong, he is as big a hypocrite as the limousine liberals he courts while pretending to be concerned about the underprivileged. My proposal to the Pope: stay out of secular politics, and secular politicians will stay out of church doctrine.

  11. “Pope” Francis the Talking Ass talks out his ass, again.

Fuck you, Francis. Eat shit and die.

You are no more the Vicar of Christ on Earth, than “Pope” Pete, my goose.

The Lord Almighty must truly be angry with us to send Francis as a scourge and chastisement.

  12. I AM a christian, and the pope is a socialist hypocrite. Surrounded by armed guards, he lives in a nice comfy palace, which he didn’t pay for, where he’s waited on hand and foot …

he’s in NO position to lecture anyone about how they should live their lives or criticize their beliefs.

  13. Their is only one mediator between God and man, He is Christ alone – not a Pope.
Pope Frances is proving to be a spiteful, Godless, self righteous, moronic narcissist. He has a lot in common with Kanye.
Ann Barnhardt is right. Pope Frances is a communist tool and pure evil.

  14. I know I am late to this story. First saw on Drudge and then came here (knew it would be here). What a foolish man. I am not going to call him pope, because I don’t know that that is. Not in any Bible I have read (and I have read most of the NT). I have not seen Trump’s response, but the leader of the catholic church should get blasted for this hypocrisy.

  15. Pope sounds like he thinks he’s God. He’s a sinner like me and everyone else on planet earth. By him saying what he did actually makes him the non Christian. Cause a Christian can never ever say this. Someone with Biblical knowledge should tell him so. Does anyone in the Vatican have a Bible?

  16. Hold on there, Poppy. This isn’t the renaissance. Nobody gives a damn about your opinions in the world of politics. Talking about walls and poor people just underline your incredible hypocrisy, as you walk around under 24k gold leaf ceilings, behind a pretty formidable set of walls, I might add.

  17. It is still the canon law of Trent, binding upon all Catholics whether they’re aware of it or not, that anyone who says salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ alone, without works, is accursed. That anathema is pronounced upon no less than the apostle Paul (Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5) and many of the mythical “separated brethren” like myself.

  18. “Just to break the tension here (and also provide some comic relief), I think it’s about time to resurrect a classic song from the incomparable Tom Lehrer. It’s from 1965, and in its day it was considered to be almost as controversial as the worst of the comments here are today. It’s called “The Vatican Rag”.”

Uh VietVet, that song is sacrilegious and you should put it in it’s proper context and explain that it is profaning the most sacred tenets of Catholicism. Perhaps you should also provide links to other songs that parody ALL of the other religions of the world as well. And I mean all of them! Just ask Brian Halloran, he can testify to that – at least in the afterlife.

  19. @Whitey Bulger: Naw, I think I’ll just regard it as it was intended – as a satirical piece intended to poke fun at the attitude of the Catholics of the time who got their panties all in a wad because their Church dared to make changes to any part of their rituals. Changes that nobody has any problem with today, I might add, because everybody has grown used to them, just like they always do when the Church is forced to modernize its beliefs in order to stay relevant with current times. Remember when the Church taught that the Earth was the center of the Universe? Me neither, but at one time they did, and I can only imagine what kind of shitstorm THAT doctrinal change produced among the faithful.

P.S. – I’m pretty sure your comment was intended as humor, but if not, well…better check them panties.

    😛
