FOX: Portland, Ore., police Chief Chuck Lovell on Wednesday morning decried violent instigators who he said are marring the message of mostly peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters.
“Portlanders need to send a strong message that enough is enough,” Lovell told reporters at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, according to KGW-TV in Portland. “This is not forwarding the goals that are going to lead to better outcomes for people of color. This movement is really powerful, but the violence has taken away from it. … This is not what Portland is about. This is not what we need in our city.”
The protests, which have sometimes turned into late-night riots focused on the Multnomah County Justice Center and the federal courthouse, have continued unabated for more than two months since the May 25 death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.
Lovell said there have been many large peaceful protests that required no police presence but the smaller offshoot actions — setting fires, breaking windows and throwing objects at police — are taking away from the larger message.
Late Wednesday, Portland police declared a riot and said they believe an explosive device had been left outside a precinct. People were ordered to disperse, and some streets were closed. more

Well, yah, because when I call the fire department I always say, “But my house is mostly not burned down yet.” Or when someone gets shot, “Well, they’re mostly uninjured.” Or when a tree falls on the roof: “The rest of the roof is mostly okay.”

I missed all the so called peaceful protests. Aren’t we on day 60 something of trying to burn down the federal courthouse? And no mention of those pesky lasers they are using to blind people. Fortunately the three officers are regaining some of their lost sight. I saw last night they went into a residential area with their lasers. It was all great until they decided burning down the federal courthouse wasn’t enough.
No one has mentioned yet today that it has been 75 years since the United States dropped the A bomb on Hiroshima and a couple days later on Nagasaki thus ending World War 2. I just finished watching Seven Days In May on TCM and after wards they showed the infamous Duck & Cover PSA with Bert the Turtle telling all the kids to duck and cover and you’d be safe just in case the Russians nuked us. SURE, I think the Cold War and our constantly being told it was the end of the world back then and we lived in fear of being nuked at any moment was far more of a real crisis than all this wu flu bullshit we’re going thru now. Like FDR said , “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Now everyone (supposedly) has become fearful of the wu flu because the democraps and the media, hollyweird etc. tells us so.
