Postal Workers Union Endorse Bernie

Breitbart

The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for the Democratic Party’s 2020 nomination for president on Thursday. The financially troubled United States Postal Service (USPS) has an estimated 500,000 full-time employees, almost all of whom are members of a union. There are seven different unions that represent USPS employees. More

  1. And you think that the Postal Service is bad now, just wait till the communists/socialists get full control of it. We’d all be lucky to get a notice shipping us off to the Gulag or a draft notice drafting all able bodied and even non able bodied individuals over 16 into the New People’s Army. And say goodbye to any form of freedom ever again.

  2. I’m going to wait and see if there’s push back from the workers. I’ve got friends that are UAW workers that are sick and tired of the union representing them in politics. Most strongly disagree with the union’s position.

  3. Unions are socialist constructions, so it follows.
When the National Socialist took power in Germany it took them about 30 seconds to completely emasculate the Unions. The Party seized the Unions’ assets, forbade strikes (on punishment of death), and “guaranteed” jobs by forbidding job mobility. The Party had already made sweetheart deals with the Unions to place Party Members in important positions in return for empty promises.

Lazy AND greedy is a bad combination – from which all Unions officials seem to suffer.

  4. Of course they want a commie to protect them.
The old USPS guys are almost all gone and the accurate and
timely mail deliveries went with them. About 30% of the
current employees have some pride in their work and try.
The rest aren’t worth spit. You can see who by watching
them talking on their cell phones while trying to walk
and sort their mail by address or getting a case of
the red ass over having to carry a heavy package.
The females are the worst on this.
If I want something “fer certain” delivered, I pay UPS.

  5. The mail service in Canada has also declined, but more from people no longer using it. The last time, the union just “threatened” to go on strike was July 2016 and businesses just said “That’s it!”. All invoices are sent by e-mail, to accompany the previous purchase orders, all payments are done by e-transfer or wire transfers between banks. I only use the national postal service to send the occasional Christmas or birthday card. Eventually, even these will go by the wayside as more stationery stores close.

  6. Please remember: not everyone agrees with their unions!!!! The rank and file still have their minds and votes. My husband is member of rural letter carrier’s union, they haven’t made an endorsement, and even if they did, it would not be his. Same for me, I am ‘stuck’ in a union that I am sure will endorse any of one of the leftists nominated, but that will NOT be my vote. Proud Deplorables here in Ohio.
