  1. I live in MO and it took a package 17 days to get here from TN (look at a map if you wonder at my incredulity – I know that Americans don’t have maps but there are some available).
I could have walked to TN and picked it up in 17 days!
(not really, but you get my drift)

  2. t of the phone tree and twenty more before finally speaking to someone who was in charge of something, anything. This is how the conversation ended up. I cannot do business with perpetual three year olds. It just doesn’t work for me.

  4. I just wish the rest of the tracking information was still available. From the twelfth through yesterday it was Out For Delivery. The Seattle Distribution Center is 22 miles from my house. I could have carried the fucking thing from the Distribution Center to my house on a goddamn pogo stick in less than a week. Their explanation was that somehow the street address got damaged and it couldn’t be delivered. So, how did it get back to Bakersfield then. By scanning the bar code was their answer. It had information on who sent it. Well doesn’t it also have the information on who it was to be delivered to? Ummmm….

  5. He took an oath at the start of the hearing before this started to answer questions truthfully.
My opinion is that his actions required immediate dismissal from his job and duties.
    This is all theater.

  6. JD: Just recently had something similar happen. Package sent from N Carolina, arrived in Phoenix, Phoenix sat on it a few days, then sent it to Tucson. Tucson sat on it a few days, then sent it back to Phoenix (Glendale), where it sat for a few days until they sent it to my local Post Office in N Arizona, where it sat for a few days before it was finally “out for delivery”. And this is only the latest example of this inefficiency.

  7. A friend who’s retired from the Post Office mails his Christmas cards with directional forward arrows complete with address and zip code + 4 . Left my current mailman in stitches . When he gave the mail to me he laughed and said let me guess – he’s retired Post office isn’t he ?

I have packages that go between Wallace Idaho and Tacoma WA that frequently go through Arizona or New Mexico, that is off the tracking is to be believed. The folks working at the local post offices are generally great and just as pissed off about how things are run as we are.
