  1. I am pretty sure that the masters in advertising think this is a good idea since they actually made the commercial. I can also see the humor and truth in this ad.

Now the “but”: does this play into the narrative that the President is anti-black? I do not see it that way, but I am playing devil’s advocate.

I hate identity politics and I am a little surprised that this ad is going in that direction.

I don’t have the time to wade into the polls and numbers, but which of the “oppressed minorities” are more important for the President’s second term?

  2. Yeah, I don’t know about this path. I want to see less distinction among the people of America, not more. The focus should be on the idea of America, not foster tribalism. This sort of ad is about being what the Communist Democrats call “practical politics.”

At the very least, the writer should have just left blacks out of it, ditched the black/latino comparisons, and let the viewer ponder the question. It missed the mark, which should have asked why choose one ethnicity over another in the first place — if we’re all Americans?

  3. …nice, but you can’t use the devil’s tools in his despite. Divisive commercial is divisive, will make Black voters butthurt, and when you promise, wvwn tacitly, spoils for support, you can’t be surprised when they come to collect…
