Bearing Arms: Let me ask you a simple question. If you were going to a war zone, even if it was unlikely you would be at any real risk, would you prefer to be armed while there?
For me, I’d rather not risk it.
Hell, I’d rather have body armor, a full loadout, and a battalion of Marines with me, but that’s just me. I’d be more than happy to settle with a pistol.
Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer apparently agrees.
Note the pistol on his leg.
Considering where he was, this seems somewhat prudent. I think we can all agree that the secretary of the Navy would be quite the catch for the Taliban, and Spencer would be unlikely to enjoy the experience, much less survive it.
But that doesn’t stop some supposed experts from not understand the move. read more
He is probably safer there than in Chicago.
‘Life’ is a war-zone … I prefer to be armed
I just wish the democrats would 🎱 freak-out 🎱 over fellow democrats mowing each other down in our major cities.
Is it not just a wee-bit racist and bigoted to have high standards for white men who seem so possess firearms safely and ignore black men who own illegal firearms unsafely?
The only people needing serious gun control are their own people.
I’ve known a few chaplains that concealed private weapons there. I would to.
Fuck if they’d get me.
Sabotage is an act of war–not free speech. During WWII six German six saboteurs were convicted and subsequently executed by electric chair. These clowns are lucky not to be sent to GITMO.
Damn–wrong article..
Is Barky ever going to face justice for Ft Hood ?
Looks natural to me, but then again progtards are against natural and normal aren’t they?
It takes someone not mentally armed to question wisdom of a VIP being physically armed in a war zone.
His first line should be: “Hey I just flew in from Baltimore. I didn’t have time to change.”
And how many
Americans have been killed by Afgan “allies” right inside our bases over there? The answer: too many. He’s just being realistic.
Can someone explain why the civiilan head of the Navy is wearing a sidearm? – Barbara Starr is CNN’s Pentagon correspondent
she did not get her job for being educated on the job assignment – pentagon correspondent – if she is asking this question.
so what did the evil male bosses at cnn make this poor women do for her position ?
could she be a “me too” gal ?
Barbara Starr’s light is rather dim.
F–k these twits. Republicans need to be armed just to play a goddam softball game in DC.
What brand holster is that? I need one for my upcoming trip to Baltimore.
It’s good to see 17th century military tactics alive and embraced by our moral superiors. It would be quite savage and uncouth for a military leader to engage in acts of violence and it would be presumptive to think that the enemy would attack an officer or official.
Shit, if I was SECNAV and visiting Injun Territory, I’d have asked for an M4 Carbine on a two-point sling and a shitload of MagPul mags to go with it.
I disagree about the gun control, because Dems have the habit of passing legislation that only affects the ones NOT doing the shooting, i.e. law-abiding white people.
When anywhere, literally, from church to a las vegas concert, can turn into a war zone in a split second, prudent people would carry everywhere.
It’s a savage fucking world, and civilization a very thin smear of frosting over a very large crapcake.
Time was, a military leader was just such because he was the badass MF LEADING the charge.
