Issue a Presidential EO that any government employee arrested for rioting/menacing/disorderly/obstructing etc, etc will immediately be suspended without pay. And if convicted, fired and banned from future government employment for ‘X’ years.
And another EO that no convicted Felon can ever serve in Federal Government, no exceptions.

Protesters have the fight to peacefully protest, that doesn’t include getting in any bodies face. Secretary DeVos should have tapped one of the security people on the shoulder and said “l’m in fear for my life and would appreciate it if you would commence firing at you earliest convenience.” Being sure to get the I’m in fear part recorded for posterity and evidence if so required.
