KFI:
Passenger Flies Commercial Jet After Airline Couldn’t Find A Pilot
A recent easyJet flight from Manchester, England to Alicante, Spain was almost canceled because they didn’t have a pilot who could fly the plane. Luckily for the stranded passengers, an off-duty easyJet pilot happened to be on board with his family and offered to fly the commercial jet.
Michael Bradley found out that his flight had been delayed because of an air traffic control failure in France before he left for the airport. As a result of the failure, there were multiple delays and the airline was having trouble finding a pilot for the aircraft.
Bradley decided to pack his pilot’s license and headed to the airport with his family. Just before going through security, Bradley called up easyJet to find out if he could help out and fly the plane. The airline was more than happy to let him step in and pilot the jet to Alicante. read more
I just had a 4 hour layover. Is it shitface that I’m ok?
sky king richard russell, we salute you!
I could fly one of those suckers.
I been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah
I’ve driven every kind of rig that’s ever been made
Even drove the back roads so I wouldn’t get weighed
So if you give me weed, whites, and wine…..
I’ll be willin’
To be movin’…
Sure I’ll fly it. Do mind holding my belt of C-4?
@Anonymous – did you learn how to land?
@LCD
Don’t have to land if there is a big building in the way!
I once flew as copilot in a 12pax puddle jumper from Belmopan to Ambergris Cay in Belize. The pilot and I shared a sixpack.
Queue the Foster Brooks pilot skit.
They actually asked me first, but moved on when they noticed my seeing eye dog.
Answerman Cooper: That reminds me of the old Man Show bit where Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla dressed up as airline pilots and went to the bar at LAX and acted drunk. Back when Kimmel was somewhat funny.
