Quincy Jones, the multi-talented music titan whose vast legacy ranged from producing Michael Jackson’s historic “Thriller” album to writing prize-winning film and television scores and collaborating with Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and hundreds of other recording artists, has died at 91.

Jones’ publicist, Arnold Robinson, says he died Sunday night at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles, surrounded by his family. More

  1. He produced It’s My Party by Leslie Gore. She was quoted as saying back in the ‘90’s: “If we had known people would have still been listening to it thirty years later, we would have done a better job.”

  2. RickeyG, I bought a new copy of that album in the late 80’s, on advice of a friend; the album was defective, having a bad warp, and I haven’t had a turntable that would track it. Someday I’ll buy a new reissue.
