Breitbart: WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Senate on Thursday confirmed President Donald Trump’s nomination of Rachel Brand as associate attorney general, the third-highest position at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
At age 44, Brand has had a diverse career in and out of government. A 1998 graduate of Harvard Law School and a respected member of the Federalist Society, Brand clerked for Justice Charles Fried on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, then for Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court.
This is a good start. WE need more of this in the justice
department.
I don’t pretend to know nearly as much about political details as the main posters here, but is she a good Trump appointee? Her resume shows she is a very qualified person, but a big chunk of her career has been working for die hard libs. I don’t think we need “fair and balanced” in the administration. (And just because George Mason named their law school after Judge Scalia doesn’t mean they are in any way a conservative campus). I want Trump to do what he said – and that means putting people in places that believe the same thing and will actually do what he says. Am I wrong here?
No, CRYOJOHN, you are absolutely right. I am tired of hearing about Dina Powell and her good friend Valerie Jarrett, Jared Kushner and his attorney Jamie Gorelick, Ivanka Trump and her good friend Chulsie Clinton, Johnny DeStefano and his good friend Scott Garrett…….
She looks like a professional. She’s wearing a business suit, a simple feminine hair-do, and no gaudy jewelry.
Congratulations to her. Good choice.
