World-renowned Christian apologist and bestselling author Ravi Zacharias revealed on Thursday evening that he has been diagnosed with “a very rare cancer called Sarcoma” and has asked for prayer for relief from “horrific” pain.
Zacharias said that as he was recovering from a recent back surgery he has been experiencing terrible pain at night which has kept him from sleeping. The cause of the pain turned out to be a malignant tumor on his sacrum, the bony structure that is located at the base of the lumbar vertebrae and is connected to the pelvis.

I began reading his books about 7 years ago. He is a great modern apologist, the likes of C.S.Lewis.

Thanks for posting this. I just read about this last night. We met Ravi a few years ago when he was here for a world apologetics conference. He’s an amazing man of Christ. Please pray for him. This is quite a blow, since Nabeel Qureshi, one of Ravi’s ablest missionaries, died (a little over a year ago?) of stomach cancer. He was also amazing. Nabeel left a young wife and very young child. So sad.
