  5. We had one of the most disreputable Chevy dealerships anywhere. They were eventually shutdown for 50 shades of fraud. Applying for credit under stolen socials, stealing cars back after they were sold, throwing people’s car keys away when they came to get their old cars back. The expected ripoff repairs.

    I will never ever buy a Chevy again because of their dealers.

    Look up Bill Heard Chevrolet. They had locations all over the country. Should have been a RICO case.

    I had an ’85 (brand new) that sucked dix, but the rusted out ’74 I owned before that was a great truck.. I now have two ’70s waiting in the wings for some restoration. Had admittedly been a Chevy owner most of my life until ’85….

  10. The only thing that sucked more than that commercial is Kamala what’s her name. Those folks were photo shopped in. I’ve had them all and Chevy is making some nice trucks as my last two attest.

  12. GM — not even $80 Billion bail out dollars of taxpayer money could improve their screwed up products.

    And now they’re shutting down American manufacturing plants. They are manufacturing parts and vehicles in China for the US market.

    GM has gone commie red with our tax dollars while they lay off thousands of US workers.
    GM sold out America and its workers.

  15. My son has my dad’s 72 3/4 ton Camper Chevy P/U truck, he’d always wanted it when he was growing up and he now owns it since my dad died last year. It’s a great truck from back when Chevy built great trucks. Hopefully it will get restored to brand new but we’ll see, at least he’s driving it. My mom and dad used that truck for many years with a camper on the back of it and we used it for hauling wood as well when we used to cut firewood in the Summer.

  16. I laughed so hard at the freeway “real people” chevy commercial. The Mahk working at the Danny Wahlberg dealership isn’t as funny as all the other chevy commercials.

  18. GM nickels and dimes once you get the keys. Works great for four years. Then the failings begin. The more trinkets the quicker the failures.

  20. If you go to where a truck has to hold up under the most brutal conditions, like the ranchland of the Trans-Pecos region of Texas, and breakdowns are serious business, Chevys are few and far between. Ford rules the day among ranchers there.

  21. I own a 2007 extended cab Duramax. I get asked about three times a month if I want to sell it. And I have no desire to replace it with a “SMOGGED DIESEL”. The deal is that Duramax is the best diesel going. And the Allison Tranni is the best on the market. GMC differentials are unique to the market. When you own a four wheel drive GMC product you actually have a four wheeler. No other four wheeler on the market will drive your butt out of the muck like a GMC product.
    Having said all that my next truck will probably be a Dodge and I’ll spent the extra money to put some decent difs in it. Or, I’ll just hang on to the one I have.

  22. @RadioMattM, that’s the truth. The engine on the Chevy Impala I had less than a week shut off in the high speed lane on I-77 outside Canton,OH. Just shut off. After going rounds with the dealership they finally admitted there was ‘a little design flaw’. I’ll skip the rest of the story because it still makes my blood boil 12 years later.
