Report About Immigrant Who Murdered a Professor Throws an Unexpected Curveball

Some Russian immigrant living in Brooklyn killed a professor in (alleged) self-defense after they allegedly got involved in a heated argument about immigration.

The professor supposedly hired this guy to do electrical work (he knows nothing about electrical work), and when it turned out bad he wouldn’t pay and then said something disparaging about immigrants. The fight escalated and the Russian guy was forced to stab him to death in self-defense.

Yeah, sure.

A witness says the Russian was casing the house for 3 hours and then started walking back and forth between the house and his car and stuffing his trunk with stolen items.

He was found hiding in a closet. He said he went in there because the wife sicced a pit bull on him.

This is around the time the story took a weird turn.

Giuliano said that she texted Safran’s wife shortly before 5:45 p.m. From WABC 7:

[The wife] responded that a man had been poking around the backyard and asked Giuliano to describe the man.”Jen!! He went in your side door he went in your house,” she wrote back. “He is still in your house.”

They met on Safran’s front lawn.

“And I said to her, there’s a man in your house, you need to call 911,” Guiliano said. “She said, ‘That’s strange, because my basement lights went out.’ She said, ‘Jeremy’s around here somewhere.'”

Later that night, [Safran’s wife] texted back, “Thank you, you saved us.”

When Atadzhanov (the immigrant) was taken out of the house, Giuliano said that his hands were bloody. (Giuliano, you may recall, is the mother of John Giuca, who was convicted of the 2003 “Grid Kid” murder; Giuliano famously underwent a makeover to seduce a juror.)

Uhhh, what?

This is some neighborhood. The lady who witnessed the murderer going in and out of the house is the same lady who famously set out to seduce a juror so her son would get a hung jury??

My first question is, if she knew she could make herself look more sexually appealing by dyeing her hair and wearing makeup, why didn’t she just do that all the time?

The second question is, when is this going to be a Lifetime movie?
