Researchers Say the Universe May Be Twice As Old As They Thought

Our universe could be twice as old as current estimates, according to a new study that challenges the dominant cosmological model and sheds new light on the so-called “impossible early galaxy problem.”

The work is published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

“Our newly-devised model stretches the galaxy formation time by a several billion years, making the universe 26.7 billion years old, and not 13.7 as previously estimated,” says author Rajendra Gupta, adjunct professor of physics in the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa. More

Astrophysicist have been searching for decades now for “dark matter” which is something they can’t see but has to be there to make up a quarter of the universe. Then there’s “dark energy” which they also can’t see but are convinced must exist to explain why the universe is expanding. If the universe is actually twice as old you don’t need these dark forces to explain what we’re seeing out there.

I’ll let Bill Whittle explain Here

  1. Among physicists there is debate about the nature of the universe. Some support the Big Bang Theory, others reject it.

The Big Bang Theory implies a Big Banger, so the most materialistic and atheistic physicists hate it. They recoil from it like Dracula when shown the cross.

The atheist scientists propose a universe with no beginning and no end, or an oscillating universe that occasionally entropies to almost nothing but then rises again like the Phoenix.

Take your pick, but for me it’s the Big Bang.

  2. “Impossible.” You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.

Once again, after billions of dollars spent, it only serves to reveal just how little “experts” know.

  3. Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the Heavens and Earth.
I don’t care how long this is defined, hundreds, thousand, millions of years.
God created the beginning and I take it as face value however many years it is.
If we don’t have faith in the creator then we just have to live with the consequences after we depart this world.

  4. I might take a cosmetologist’s word over a cosmologist’s word, depending on the subject.

They’re all after that Nobel prize in physics. If they have to embrace falsehoods to get it, they’ll do it, truth be damned. And the Ignoble Committe will be happy to fork over the prize money to any liar that sounds good to them.

After they gave Obama the Peace Prize only because he won an election, I have zilch faith in the Nobel committee.

  5. If you don’t understand that only your relinquishment of the self contraction that initiates your own manifest existence will free you of this incarnation and your separation from the divine condition, then nothing else matters.

  6. They’re just beating the hell out of the data trying to fit it into one of their models, but their models are nothing but wild ass guesses. Although, WAGs occasionally turn out right.

  7. Seriously – What’s the difference between a theory and a belief?
Isn’t a belief a strongly held theory because nothing else is a better explanation?
Then I believe God created the universe.
There is no better explanation than anything proposed by all these highly paid scientists. Hell, they can’t even estimate how old the universe is, with some suddenly opining it is TWICE as old as what was currently thought!
In the grand scheme of humanity’s existence, what difference does it make how old the universe is?

That statement makes sense only if you assume that the rate of time elapse and the units of time duration are constant. Those not facts in evidence.

  9. If their simple minds can not understand the intricacies of life EVERYWHERE then they may well be beyond redemption.

We may not be able to PROVE the existence of GOD to their feeble minds BUT they will NEVER be able to prove otherwise.

  10. Sure why not. Make the “universe” older, make it bigger and for some people that will diminish God. One of the meanings of NASA in Hebrew is to deceive.

God made it all for us in one day.

  11. The divine is all that is. How could it be otherwise? The size, age. etc. of the material, incarnate universe are irrelevant. All that matters is transcending it all and recognizing the divine nature of it all and its arising in the universal divine realm of existence.

  12. It is amusing how people laughed at the Creationists who claimed the world was only 5,000 years based on the idea that each “begat” in the Bible was a generation or twenty years. But think how absurd if an expert mistook a six year old for a twelve year old or a twelve year old for a twentyfour year old man.

  13. Someday they will find all of my broken Craftsman ratchets in some dig and say, “These were held in high regard by these old white people as religious objects…”

To hell with all of these clowns.

  14. Look at any none volcanic mountain and you will see striraitions, mostly horizontal, some slanted, they are all Gods work. He laid then down layer by layer. God knew humans needed mountains for survival. Water comes down the slopes as rivers, creates the waters and lakes of the plains, allowimg the farmland there thrive by letting folks capture the water to grow the crops that feed the people. Without mountains, the land would be flooded, and not useful for growing anything except maybe rice.

That was not done by accident. It was done on purpose, and done on purpose for us, God’s childern.

  15. More time cannot create order from disorder. The projected start date has been set back several times in my lifetime. This is the wisdom of man.

  16. 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
