Rhode Island parents enraged at school board for removing honors classes in ‘equity obsession’

The video is better than the read. Go there by clicking link.

To watch the board sit up on a stage, unmoved, and listen to taxpayers saying that their kids will no longer be eligible for top colleges because there will be no honor classes available, it’s infuriating.

Who is compelling these boards?

One parent says one administrator was giggly over the prospect of being the first in the state to remove the honor classes. This is what this is- morons trying to “outwoke” the other in a fit of feverish virtual signaling. They remain stoic in the face of virtually the entire district lining up before a mic to tell them how craven they are. It doesn’t matter. They believe they are being historic, and somehow their, otherwise, insignificant lives, matter.

Fox-

Barrington, Rhode Island, public schools are among the best in the state. Many parents move to the district, and tolerate the higher taxes, because of the academic rigor that sets their children up for attending Ivy League schools or receiving academic merit scholarships. However, all of that academic appeal is being chipped away after the district brought in a so-called “equity and inclusion” agenda.

De-leveling, or a system of universal learning, was first implemented in Barrington on the most vulnerable students—the students with learning disabilities and Individualized Education Programs (IEP). In February 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school removed some conceptual classes. On the whole, parents of children in those classes were reluctant to speak out because they ran the risk of “outing” their child as having a disability or needing special accommodation.

A mom whose daughter has an IEP and attended the removed conceptual classes said that de-leveling has caused her daughter’s grades to decline. The mother requested anonymity in order to protect her daughter’s identity.

“I don’t think I would ever be a fan of de-leveling, but the timing [to implement it during COVID] is what makes it very suspicious to me. So it just felt like it was an easy way for them to get their agenda through without pushback because people were so busy dealing with other stuff,” she told Fox News Digital

The mom continued, “It [took away] any kind of individuality … or … personalized education plan for kids. It’s ‘you’re just going to be some homogenized like education factory where they raise everybody’s the same.'”

  1. I can imagine the smugness of these knuckleheads. From biden on down, the whole of the demoncrap party doesn’t give 2 squirts about anybody unless you’re a gear in their machine, but once your cogs wear out, to the scrap pile ya go.

  2. The ghetto rugrats will never knuckle down and study; so the only choice is to destroy all access to a decent education for the Asian and white kids.

    Democrats = Demonic Scum

  3. Talking does no good to these DildoCrats.
Find out who the school board members are, by name and face.
Need to get to the next school board meeting early, and wait outside.
See what cars the school board members arrive in.
When the school board members go inside, you go to town on those cars. Windows, tires, paint, engine.
The time for talking is long past. These LibTard DildoCrats need to learn that THEY serve and work for US. Not the other way around.

    > If each and every one of us picked & eliminated an appropriate target, then alibied each other

If appropriate target lists were finished, there’d be no need for alibis.

  5. Of course the real reason the teachers don’t want to teach honors courses is that the teachers don’t understand the material. They’re dumber than the students.

  6. Making a high-functioning student slow down to the level of the lowest idiot in the class, who really doesn’t even want to apply him/her self, is destructive to the higher functioning student.

I didn’t start making straight A’s until they put me in the advanced program. I was bored out of my mind with the idiots around me not getting the simplest of things. Fortunately, my 8th grade English teacher was hot as hell and making A’s in her class led to being put in AP the following years. Life was much easier after that. We picked up a new subject every week and was DONE with it pronto. Yay!!

They are damaging kids because of a political decision. Proving, once again, the Dems are NOT the party of science and are morally corrupt. You don’t drag everyone else down to your level just to feel better about your lazy stupid a**.
