Longtime Conservative Icon Phyllis Schlafly Dies at 92

7 and-a-half years of Obama is too much to ask of anyone. Thank you for being such a pillar of principle for so many years and for holding a hand out to the next generations Phyllis.
Loved Phyllis Schlafly. A woman of Discernment and Grace.
She’ll be voting Democrst now. Too bad. We can’t afford to lose any conservatives right now.
Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
the soul of Thy servant Phyllis
from every bond of sin,
that being raised in the glory of the resurrection,
she may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
I sought her advisement when I was thinking of running for an office back in the 70s. This gracious woman not only answered my letter personally, but also sent me a packet of information with personal notes on getting elected.
She is the reason our country wasn’t saddled with the Equal Rights Amendment.
I wonder if this wonderful person was saddled with too much grief from her organization over her endorsement of Mr. Trump while they were adamant about promoting another candidate. I sure hope that didn’t drive her home to God prematurely.
I learned how important Phyllis Schlafly was from Ann Coulter. Two fearless women I truly admire.
She will be missed. I hope her daughter, the #NeverTrump-er, will see fit to abide by her mother’s wishes.
Rest in Peace.
YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!! WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’ve lost another great patriot. God was merciful to let Mrs. Schlafly fight a good fight on behalf of conservatism for many years. She is bound to hear the Lord say to her, “Good and faithful servant”.
She fought the good fight, God rest her soul.
Ann Coulter wrote a very good (although lengthy) obituary for her. A very informative synopsis of Mrs. Schlafly’s many valuable contributions to America over her life. I never knew she was a model while also working at an ammo factory test firing product in a machine gun ……. that’s a dream girl in my book.
First my best friend Dave on Sunday morning, and now the indomitable Mrs. Schlafly. This week’s not shaping up too well.
Met her once at a GOP event in Collinsvile, IL.
I was speaking on behalf of a Candidate she opposed.
I sought her out to shake her hand and speak with her, she was very kind, personable and unwavering. I was impressed and continued to be from that point on.
Integrity, honesty, and commitment.
A Grand Lady.
RIP
She opposed the Equal Rights Amendment as she feared young girls would one day be drafted into the services.
Well Lo and Behold! A great lady. RIP.
Check her out on Firing Line with WFB.
@Larry The Giddy Liberal: Thanks, Larry. I’m sure someone will say the same about you someday.
(Mustn’t add “soon”. Mustn’t add “soon”…)
Whew – it’s hard being civil when replying to comments like that.
The scrolling headline feed on the CW (that’s CBS and Warner’s love child) news station* here read something like “Anti-Feminist Conservative Icon Phylis Schafly Dies at 82”. I doubt they ran a similar headline when Robert Byrd passed, like “Pro-Jim Crow Senator and Liberal Icon…” Uh, no bias here. Move along.
(*)Before you admonish me for feeding the beast by watching network news, it wasn’t me, it was my mom. If it were up to me…
We’re going to need a lot more like her in 8 years (maybe even in 4 years, God forbid!)
