funniest guy on ‘F Troop’ … RIP Larry … thanks for the laughs
funniest thing on ‘F Troop’ was the Ackowi Indian tribe name. even as kids, we knew it was a play on the ‘Fugawi Indians’ joke
I agree with above!
@ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
Tell us the joke!
Larry appeared in Married With Children in the episode “Something Larry This Way Comes”. Happy trails Larry.
don’t ask me to quote the actual joke, but it’s about a tribe of wandering Indians that continually go from place to place until they all fall off a cliff into a river & the Chief says …. “Where the fuque are we?
which get interpreted by everyone (due to the Indians speaking ‘pigeon English’) as “We’re the Fukawi”
thus, they’re deemed the Fukawi Indians … if memory serves (which it doesn’t), the first episode had the Hekawi Indian Chief say “We’re the Hekawi”
(apologies for spelling it wrong in the original post)
(true story, the first name of the tribe on the tv show was the Fukawi, but the censors wouldn’t allow it, so they changed it to ‘heck a’ we’)
If they trie to make F troop now the production crew would be raided at 3am and perp walked to the police station. The always great Frank de Kova was in it. If anyone could keep a straight face on that show it was him.
F-Troop was funny. So was Mr. Storch.
Another death yesterday was the actor that played “Paulie Walnuts”, a name that was always cringe-worthy to me.
As a Canadian kid i can testify i grew up watching F Troop.
