Lisa was always one of my favorite readers from abroad. She was a native of the Chicago area who moved to New Zealand. The longtime readers will remember her.
LadyGun emailed me to say that she heard from her husband that she passed away. Very sad.

I remember Lisa ‘reporting’ from NZ when they had one of their big earthquakes down there. Fascinating stuff. How many years ago was that? A lot.
It’s always sad to lose a family member. Sympathies to her immediate family and RIP, Lisa.
I remember her well, from here and one or two other blogs. So very often upbeat–it was a delight to read what she had to say.

Thank you for posting this. She hasn’t posted here in years, but several of us kept up with her on Facebook. I loved her pictures of her adopted New Zealand.
“Only the good die young”: we say that, but never really think about what it means.
But it means good people are missed whenever they die, and they are always missed, no matter how old they are when they die.
On the other hand, shitty people of the likes of the fascist left and their funders always live too long no matter how young they are when they die.
I did not know her, but if she was iotw, then she’s good enough for me. Rest In Peace sister. We remain here to fight. Even though we are weary.
