A charming woman although I believe Phyllis Coates , the first TV Lois Lane was way hotter.
RIP – Superman on TV was a mainstay for my Saturday morning viewing.
Referring to her role as Lois Lane in Adventures of Superman (1952)
“We spent most of our time bound, gagged, and waiting for the bomb to go off.” – Noel Neil
She looked pretty good in that black&white picture.
I’ll never forget the Superman episode where she was having relations with the invisible man on the rooftop and superman flew in unaware …
Sorry. Couldn’t help it. (I can only remember a few jokes and that’s one of the best)
Rest in Peace Lois. No offense intended.
Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
the soul of Thy servant Noel,
from every bond of sin,
that being raised in the glory of the resurrection,
she may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Back when television provided quality television programs for children. Compare the original Mickey Mouse Club of 1955 to the sleazy one produced in the 90’s and the skanks that evolved from that later show.
I memorized the opening of the show. I learned how to draw the Superman S logo.
I was somewhat crushed when George Reeves was shot, committe suicide, or whatever. It was always something like one of the Arkansides. Having watched Hollywoodland, it still remains a mystery. He was shacked up with a gangster’s wife (Toni Morrison).
Yes to Loco. Noel played Lois in the movie serials. They had cheap animation for the flying scenes and the guy playing Clark/Superman wasn’t very good. TCM recently played these and some old 1940s Batman series where Batman and Robin drove a 1949 Mercury convertible and changed into costumes by putting up the top and pulling into an alley. (Not exactly the Batmobile).
Noel came back to play Lois after Phillys Coates dropped out.
I believe there were a couple of Lois Lanes.
The other one looked like an old schoolmarm.
Two conflicting thoughts…
1) God bless her soul and hers.
2) Can we see the video of the bad guy in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade rotting in fast-motion?
She could be Ann Barnhardt’s grandmother.

A trip down Memory Lane…
🙂
“Truth, Justice, and the American Way”
That’s dead, too. 🙁
Thank you, Jethro. That is quite a compliment. I’m going to assume you were referencing specifically the black and white photo above. Har har. 🙂
This was just on METV a few days back. Wow.
Terri Hatcher was HOT in Lois and Clark.
