The NYT is reporting that the Republican National Committee (RNC) set up a automated call program that contacted constituents in districts of key house democrats with their representative. If the voter opposed impeachment they were asked if they would like to express that opinion to their elected official in the House.
Reports are roughly 11,000 voters agreed and the phone lines for those House democrats were tied up for hours receiving calls opposing impeachment. More
