Robert Reich threatens 3rd party

Breitbart- Democrat Disaster: Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich Threatens Creation of Third Party.

As Democrats are reeling from Tuesday night’s election loss, some in the party are calling for a split from the Democratic Party if it does not change.

Bill Clinton former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich talked about creating a third party if the Democratic Party does not move in a more progressive direction.

“The Democratic Party can no longer be the same; it has been repudiated,” Reich said on a conference call with members from the progressive grassroots group Democracy for America.

“This has been a huge refutation of establishment politics, and the political organization has got to be changed. … If the Democratic Party can’t do it, we’ll do it through a third party.”

The Democratic Party is in an all-out civil war between the more progressive wing of the party and the more corporate wing of the party.

Some in the party are blaming progressives who supported Bernie Sanders for refusing to rally behind Hillary Clinton.  MORE

  1. LOL!

Lose an election because your party is too far to the left and insist it needs to go further to the left.

Wow. The very definition of clueless.

Mental illness is a main feature of the left, I see.

  2. Ironic on how all the talk up till a few days ago was the GOP would never be the same, civil war, tearing apart at the seems and now its the Democrats that are on the verge of Civil War and splitting apart.

I also agree, even as loathesome as Reich is, that the Democrat party split into 2, the commies and the far left socialists. That 50/50 split of the party into 2 separate voting factions would do wonders for the country. 🙂

  3. I think Rightwinger is correct, after Trump won the R nomination these same dipshits were predicting the Repubs would be out of power for a generation or more. Something happened on the way to the Dowager Empress’ coronation, and these jerks still don’t know what happened.

  4. Do it Bob! Put me on your mailing list and I’ll send you a few bucks too.

If they were that stupid and the neo-cons & Sweaty Thumbs cohorts joined forces from our side, we’d be looking at the sane people finally back running this country for a long time.

  5. Hayek thought that the conceit of the left was they thought they could control the economy top down. I think the conceit of the left is they think they can impose governance top down. Government starts at the individual level where people have the freedom to govern their own lives. The institutions created by free people are completely different than top down – trickle down government. Things like Obamacare are trickle down government. People have a Right to their own self government.

As long as there are idiots who have the conceit that they are the government of society by force and deny us our self government over our own lives and force their trickle down government “choices” on us they will in the end lose political relevancy. Because they go against our Right to our self governance of our lives.

All they can do in the face of real resistence is crack up into parties representing various aspects of their sick pathologies.

  6. I hope Robert Reich-ed is correct ….the democrats might be done for a decade, now, but if they break off into a third party they might be done forever…carry on Robert…

  7. Reich really is a rabid National Socialist – once claiming that unions “had to hold their members’ feet to the fire” – it never having occurred to him that unions exist to serve the members, not the other way around.

Typical totalitarian cocksucking nihilistic socialist traitor.

His party should be the Totalitarian Party.
(seeing as Nazi and Communist are already taken)

    izlamo delenda est …

  8. Picture this. On the doorway of Robert’s third party headquarters with be a mark at the 4 foot level, with a sign stating that you must be under this line to enter. Gorge Steponapolis will be a shoo in if he hasn’t moved out of country with his wife.

  9. Here’s what George Washington had to say about political parties:

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”
