I am not a big Celine Dion fan, but I can be offended for her. Given she recently has had a terrible medical diagnosis, it just seems like kicking someone when they are down.
But also, did the nitwits at Rolling Stone see this?
And now Tina Turner –
Different artists… different styles…
BOTH GREAT in their own way…
Thank you BFH!
They even came up with a term for what Celine does, the “power ballad”
Was Tina Turner left off the list too?
Yes, Thanks BFH, I’ve never seen that Celine Dion clip. Never heard her rock before, she was so young and fresh faced. I enjoyed that!
I wonder if Celine Dion ran into the same thing that Bread did twenty years earlier: they both could rock in their early days but found out that it was their pablum that sold so that’s what they went to exclusively as time went by.
I don’t give much credence to what Rolling Stone Magazine has to say.
Rolling who?
Also, Thanks, BFH.
Celine. The female version of the beloved Roy Orbison.
FRS !!!
Their, not there.
White guy here showing his grammar privilege. 🙂
I didn’t read the list but,
Joe Cocker?
Steve Winwood?
Mick Jagger?
Rolling Stone, hahahaha their still around? I thought they went the way of MTV.
“Rolling Stone Left Celine Dion Off There, (They’re, Their,) Top 200 Singers List”
There, They’re, Their … so many choices.
First World,
Problems
Well they left Nina Simone off the list and she was female AND negro.
(but she was genuine female, I guess – not “female”)
mortem tyrannis
izlamo delenda est …
On the cover of the Rolling Stone…
He has always made my skin crawl.
