This minor leaguer was called out for swinging at strike three, even though he only thought he was being funny.
Watch.
It was a big deal. His team lost by one run.
Please enjoy this extremely strange @MiLB strikeout: https://t.co/qCRHp8fK3H pic.twitter.com/coESfmeE6m

?
It reminds me of the night Hillary lost the election, but then again, everything does.
That is the only call the ump could make. Now if the pitch was so wild the catcher couldn’t play it, and he beat the throw to first base, that could be a smart play. The batter fucked up.
It’s going to screw up his swing. He’ll probably be gun shy for a while. Then again, it probably didn’t even faze the doofus.
If the ump doesn’t call it the manager is gonna come out and cause a scene, and the manager will be right.
Has to be strike 3, as lame as it seems.
I remember in little league a kid on my team hit it a home run. over the fence. as he trotted home he took of his helmet with a few steps left. He was called out. Can’t take of your helmet. Rules are rules
Oh hell yes, rules are rules until it negatively affects liberals. The obvious no longer matters.
He was out ! However the umpire is a complete Dick, and I’m sure he knows that. The Umpire didn’t have to call it, he’s probrably the only one that thought anything of it at all. There are unspoken rules in Baseball!
His swing was a practice swing for the next pitch to come , not this pitch.
He’s still officialy out. Just not like that.
The pitcher Did an amazing OBAMA impression for gods sake.
Speaking of bizarre events, can you believe that they’re already pouring the foundation for the Obama Presidential Library???

Stoopid kid! Hope his manager chewed him out for that!
He’s in the batter’s box and swung.
How about if he threw his bat at the ball being funny, actually hit the ball and scored an infield home run? Would that count as a swing?
Pitcher was smart and got rewarded…Something went wrong with the pitch and if he held onto the ball it would have been a balk and all base runners would advance.
And the batter did swing. Rules are rules.
When I was in little league back in the 70’s I was playing first and did a “hide-the-potato” with the pitcher. The guy on first led off and I tagged him out. The umpire let him stay safe. I’m still pissed at this to this day…Rules are rules.
Lol Vietvet, it figures RINOs would be helping him.
Eternal craker, That did happen with Ted Williams. He was being intentionaly walked and reached past the plat & hit a Homer.
I also figured out why this looks so wrong , when the pitcher pitches to the ground the Umpie Always throws his arms up for time out. It’s an Injury Pitch !!!!!
What would you do if you were sitting down for a Scabble game and your nephew placed an Urban Dictionary down as the go-to source of validation?!
Scrabble, ugh!
And I think it’s even at the Double A level, Hartford YardGoats vs. Binghamton Rumble Ponies. One-run ballgame 8th inning, NOT the time to be screwing around !
Dummy batter.
Oh, that’s that game they used to ball baseball right?
Meerkat. Where was the pitcher when you tagged the runner?
Meerkat – if the pitcher is on the mound it’s a balk. I was on first base and a team tried to pull that on me. I asked the umpire if I step off the bag are you going to call a balk because the pitcher was on the rubber? Umpire didn’t say anything. I stepped off the bag, first baseman tagged me. I got to 2nd base on the balk. I’m pretty sure the umpire was going to call me out if I hadn’t reminded him of the rules.
You spelled ‘off’ wrong twice in the same sentence? I call bot.
It WAS funny, just not in the way he thought.
Where’s the fun in the “Game”?
Order him a pair of Hillary’s special glasses.
Would have been able to run to first on the third strike since the pitcher didn’t “catch” it?
