Rural counties across the US are trying to secede from Dem-compromised blue states

Blaze– Taken for granted by big-city leftists and tired of ruinous Democratic policies they haven’t the numbers to change, conservative counties across the U.S. are looking to join red states or form their own.

In Oregon, over a dozen rural red counties have voted in support of moving the state border westward and joining their conservative compatriots in Idaho — a red state where Citizens for Greater Idaho president Mike McCarter noted the legislature “is controlled by representatives from rural districts, who govern according to the concerns and priorities of rural counties.”

“There is a way to get better governance for central and eastern Oregon,” said Carter. “The current location of the Oregon/Idaho border was decided 165 years ago and is now outdated because it doesn’t match the location of the dividing line between the counties that prefer Idaho’s style of governance and counties that prefer Oregon’s style of governance.” more here

  1. In 2004 I urged the WSRP to encourage everyone to just fire up the RV, hook up the utility trailer, hitch up the arc welder or maybe the boat trailer and head to Pikes Place Market grid locking Seattle until the gubernatorial election theft was abandoned.

These urban areas are fragile and extremely vulnerable. Could have starved the fuckers into submission in three days. These days, shut down their pot shops for the afternoon and they will submit before nightfall.

  2. The upper peninsula of Michigan has been trying to form the state of Superior since 1858. Since then, rural counties from the southern peninsula and northern Wisconsin have been included.

  3. Eastern WA needs to join the New Idaho movement too.

WA state is testing out a “hate crimes” hotline in King, Clark and Spokane counties. One legislator implied that Trump voters are a hate group. Every day another damn thing happens in this state that says,”move.”

As a fellow Washingtonian, I feel your pain. Try living in what is officially the center of Seattle. Nonetheless, We’ve refused to let it get us down. It’s a good thing that although Geoff C. and I are undoubtedly more educated and intelligent about the state of both local and national politics, neither of us have ever felt the burden of being silenced by our neighbors and clients. We just don’t talk politics with them. Ever. And it’s very funny to us when they try to tease out where we stand, politically. The hard core ones (and who isn’t), invariably make provocative claims about the Right just to see if we’ll agree with them. I am never surprised to see CNN or MSNBC playing on their tee vees or laptops.

I had an idea that I’m sorry I didn’t execute this year. I was going to do all the official paperwork to be a candidate for governor and write a bio for the voters’ pamphlet. Using a fictitious name, I was going to go full-on, hard-Right and list out all the anti-Left policies I would pursue just to see how many votes I’d get. No campaigning, of course, but it would have been interesting to see how much attention and how many votes it would bring. I scrapped the idea because I’ve been too busy working, and I thought Lars Larson or some other local talk radio would find me out and want to make something bigger out of it.

I’m with JD, I think if King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties were given a real conservative candidate, it would really trouble the Leftists in these counties. But I don’t know if we could win any elections because of the state of vote fraud. Mail-in = fraud. Just look at the counties where Harris “won”

  5. A lot of Washingtonians simply opted out after 2004. They said, why bother voting? To do so only validates the bastards. It’s a catch 22 and the WSRP is 100% responsible for it. 100%, the Republican base (who they despise) was ready and willing to fight, the cuckolds and fairies from Bellevue who control the WSRP dry shaved us big time that go round. I include the local talk show hosts from the two fake conservative talk radio stations among them.

  6. On Thursday when I had my Drs. appt at Kaiser to see my podiatrists nurse I was sitting next to a woman that I vaguely recognized until an obvious govt. union flunky came out into the waiting room with all his union bs on his shirt and stopped to thank this woman for the good job that she was doing when I realized that I was sitting a few feet away for our lousy leftwing mayor Lisa Brown who I despise. And when the nurse called the name Lisa for her appt. I knew it was her. I politely kept my mouth shut and didn’t say anything. There are billboards on major streets all over the city calling her out for her stand on homelessness, crime etc. and the rotten job that she is doing as our mayor after only one year. She was elected by default by a minority of our local voters who didn’t bother to vote in the 2023 mayoral election with a lousy voter participation turn out participation of 34% which sucks since hardly anyone here locally even bothered to vote for mayor. There is no excuse for this. Whitman County where WSU is located in Pullman was the only county in eastern Washington to vote for Harris and even there, she only won by less than 2000 votes.

  7. I always vote but I have that internal argument every time of, ”what’s the point?!?”

I hate that we live in the most beautiful state run by the ugliest people. Have you seen a recent pic of Patty Murray? 😉

  8. The MORE SECESSION the better. 50 state secession would be outstanding too. Dissolve the federal government and let the 50 do their own thing. Without the tyranny of the feds, it would be a win-win for every citizen.

  9. “Forty percent of California is conservative. THAT state should bust up into at least four states.”

Now hold on there pal. By land mass 90 percent of California is Conservative. A state this large should be subject to an electoral college. For the same reason the federal elections are subject to it. We have 10% of the land mass making rules that the other 90 percent disagree with. Ultimately splitting the state up is the right answer. But they will never allow that because of WATER. We have it, they want it. If Trump can force paper ballots, voter I.D. etc than Cali goes Conservative.

  10. And everything west of Charlottesville should join West Virginia. Maybe then, the C’ville colonists would stop buying up property in the towns and fields of the otherwise red Shenandoah Valley.
