San Francisco McDonald’s Shuts Down After 30 Years amid City’s Decline

Breitbart

A McDonald’s in downtown San Francisco, California, has shut down as the city grapples with numerous issues plaguing businesses in the area.

The fast-food location’s ownership, Scott Rodrick of Rodrick Management Group, had a negative view when speaking of the issue, Fox Business reported Saturday:

Office building vacancies, the environmental atmosphere of downtown sidewalks and a tepid return by tourists and conventioneers all drove the decision.

The economics of running a franchised restaurant in San Francisco continue to be a challenge, particularly in a downtown that is impacted by high office building vacancy rates and visitor trends that have not recovered since the pandemic. My Front Street location, without the benefit of parking and a drive-through, amplified the challenge. more

  1. How many years have we been watching Faggotville’s destruction? How many election cycles? How many demo commies voted out? How long before San Francisco looks like Hiroshima in 1945?

  2. That McD’s had no drive-through and no parking lot, so their clientele was walk-in only. The probably got tired of mopping the floor to get rid of all the human feces those walk-ins would track in from the sidewalk.

    “You want flies with that?”

  3. should run all parades through the seedy areas. once the “right” people get the squishy between the toes or a needle in the foot or a physical altercation with a mental, things will change. give the parade participants garbage bags while they walk and cleanup. otherwise its business as usual.

  4. Does it matter? McDonalds – with the 20 dollar per hour minimum wage in CA costs almost 20 bucks for a hamberger, drink and fries! Might as well go to a regular restaurant and get more bank for your buck, and without bums sitting next to you.

  5. I used to stay at the Holiday on Van Ness and California Ave and would park the car in their garage and unless we were going to the Cliff House or Mark Hopkins or something like that we just used the cable car, busses and walked everywhere. I used to eat in the various restaurants in Belden Alley. It’s a damn shame what the asshole progs have done to San Francisco. The worthless fuckers ought to be horsewhipped, every Goddamned one of them.

  6. When I was on shore duty in the Navy I lived on Treasure Island from “83 to ’85. San Francisco was still a nice place back then. My girl friend and I would go there to eat all the time.

It’s all gone now and only a fool would go there.
