Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, has spent 4-1/2 years battling the New York Times over an editorial she said falsely linked her to a deadly Arizona mass shooting that left a U.S. congresswoman seriously wounded.

On Monday, Palin is poised to try to begin convincing jurors in a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court that the newspaper and its former editorial page editor James Bennet defamed her. More

  1. Good luck Sarah. It was a vile thing they. Totally pulled the use of a circular icon as a “target” out of their nether regions.

    Maybe you, Nick and Kyle can be the NYT’s “editorial” clearing house when all the dust settles & you guys tally up.

  2. Without going into the particulars of the case (not a lawyer but married to one) I don’t think she is going to win this one.

    Given everything that she has gone through in both her personal and political life, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of some peace and comfort. I hope this trial is something that she genuinely wants because it is just going to add to all the tumult, aggravation, and calumny within the press, stuff that she has already suffered from far too long.
