Save the Loco Weed – IOTW Report

Save the Loco Weed

Fassett’s Locoweed can be found in only three counties in Wisconsin. The extremely rare and fussy plant prefers to grow along lakeshores where it is highly susceptible to water levels. In high water years it drowns, in drought years it dies out. No wonder the DNR and students from UW-Whitewater have teamed up to try to reintroduce this plant that’s a stem away from extinction. 1. Blow me. We were giving away cattle last year because of drought. This year over a million cattle have been drowned in floods.

Look forward to the price of your beef skyrocketing this year.

I don’t give a tinker’s cuss about your useless plant.
