“Science” proves to be idiotic

There was a click bait article on another site that lured me in.

The title was –

Science proves toned bodies are now sexier than skinny ones.

Really? How did “science” prove this? I thought this article was going to be stupid, I didn’t realize how stupid.

When I clicked through it brought me to a publication that is one of the worst sleaze outlets, one that I will never link to again, one that is increasingly dangerous for bloggers to associate with. (Let me just say, bloggers beware of a site that rhymes with Goo Pork Host. But this is a topic for another day.)

So, what was the stupidness?

The “science” was a survey taken of 78 undergraduates of the University of Missouri/Kansas.

They showed them pictures of women and they rated them. Pretty solid science right there.

Oh, did I mention that the students were all WOMEN!??!

So women were asked to rate the sexiness of women, eh?

I don’t think this is very “scientific.” I’ve found, through my own scientific research, that women do not understand, at all, what men find sexy.

Exhibit A:

I remember a time when all I heard from women was that Michelle Pfeiffer was sexy. Women wanted to aspire to be Michelle Pfeiffer-like.

Ladies, Michelle Pfeiffer, although good looking, is not sexy whatsoever. I can post pictures of less attractive women who are much sexier. Women do not understand what men find sexy. Period.

Prove me wrong, ladies.

List “sexy” women in the comments and see what the men think.

  1. As a middle age guy I Think I have this: The mom on “Good luck Charlie”, Al Bundy’s wife on “Modern Family”, the Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleaders, Wonder woman (Lisa Carter), Dolly Parton, and my youngest daughter’s math teacher.

  2. Sexy has more to do with how a woman thinks of herself, and how she presents herself and acts as a result, than it does with how she looks.

At least in person, where is the only place it really counts.

  3. …not being an actual man is something that most guys look for, you know, no beard, no balls, and DEFINITELY no penis…

…I say MOST guys because there’s always an Obama or two out there to throw the curve off…

  4. ‘Sexy’ is an attitude. Not a look. A sexy woman can be sexy irregardless of what she is wearing. If she has make up on or not. If her hair is coiffed or messy. It is a vibe that exudes from her. Either you have it, or you don’t. It can be learned. But it can never be faked.

…most men prefer a woman wearing nothing but a smile, @3 lb. hammer, but I’d say the “sexy” question would have been pretty much settled before it reached that point, in MOST cases…

  6. …do you think guys and girls who are pretending to be guys look for different things in a woman? This is the sort of thing that will make the NEXT clickbait science exam so problematic…

  7. Fur wants the women here to list sexy women so we (men) can comment.

To do that, you have to declare yourself as female. Also, please attach a picture of yourself for evaluation.

  8. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Different men seem to find different shapes and sizes of women sexy.

Like Brad for instance, I would guess he’s going to find a woman in jeans and boots shooting the eraser off a pencil at 100 yards pretty sexy. 🙂

  9. Miss Kennedy, my 5th-grade teacher. A tall, willowy brunette with a lovely smile and great legs.

    She’d be about 90 years old now I guess…

  10. Barbra Walters once commented that Sofia Loren’s husband wasn’t handsome.
Sofia replied, “you don’t see him with my eyes.”
The sexiest thing I ever herd a woman say.

  11. Jane Russell…
    Liz Taylor….
    Linda Evans…
    Meg Ryan….
    Daryl Hannah in splash….
I still fall back to a gal that can help me and is willing to rebuild something….I’m destined to die alone….
