Screw the Olympics- Now They’re Pushing Diversity Over Merit

The Olympics are supposed to be about who goes fastest, goes highest, goes more accurately and scores more points. In fact, I dislike the events that are subjective, like figure skating. If it can’t be recorded with a mathematic metric, the hell with it, it’s not a sport, it’s a pageant.

But, now, because of leftists, even the metrics are subjective, because the Olympic committees are “committed to incorporating more diversity.” Interpretation: Too many white people.

How is this any different than someone taking a baton to Nancy Kerrigan’s kneecap?

  1. Every day I discover another Olympic athlete that I can root against and hope they break a leg.

    Lindsey Vonn
The gays that have pre-protested Trump and Pence.
The gays that insist I know they take it in the ass.
Any asswagon that wears a burka.
    etc…

  2. Just like Pres. Moon in Seoul inviting the Norks.
He Must have the Norks. Not because The Un throws terrific party / farm slaves out there as athletes, but, just because Moonie wants to be inclusive before he cuts a big check they can take back home to Pyongyang from Pyeongchang.

  3. Figure skating is less subjective than you might think. They all have to submit their routine. They have to do it exactly. They have to have so many triple lutzes and flying lotuses to score. They lose points if they don’t. Sure they are graded on poise. It’s a little subjective but a wobbly skater is going to rank lower than the poised one with the same degree of difficulty.

  4. fwiw My favorite niece is a senior in high school and she figure skates. She is good. She has a shot at the Olympic team but let me tell you, it is competitive. She skates every day. Has for years.

  5. My niece has a lot of great coaches. Many are former Olympic stars. The amazing thing about people who skate competitively it that they have this incredibly positive outlook on life. Most of these people have straight A’s. They go on to have exceptional careers in all sorts of occupations.

They are all incredible to be around. It is so uplifting.

  6. JPM,
My mom was an Ice Capades chorus girl
in the late/early 40;s/50’s.She lived and
breathed ice skating and went to many world
    events in the 1980’s.

  7. JPM-
…and they can write any surprising score they want to.
The winner is a subjective winner, not an absolute winner.
Boxing is the same. Unless a m*therfucker knocks out another m*therfucker it should be a tie, not some scorecard submitted by someone with a bias.

  8. While it is impossible to describe how great it is to be around figure skaters and their parents. They all work so hard and are so dedicated and the only word to describe the whole lot of em is “nice” there is this movie on NetFlix called “The Short Game.” It’s about little kids that play golf and try to win the national title every year at Pinehurst. The movie is just beyond good and beyond entertaining.

  9. BTW, I was a victim of AF
in 1976.I may have been the first.
I had a long awaited and hard worked
for position coming for me and then
they hired a black guy with NO experience
for the position and then to rub the cahca in
my face they made me train/cover for him…

  10. Not denying any of what you’re writing. Fine people, dedicated hard workers, etc.
The winner is “judged,” much like boxing.

One judge gives 9 rounds to one boxer and the other judge has the complete opposite.
    I’m not so into that.
I’m not hinging all of my hard work and hopes and dreams on something so subjective, something that the next day everyone can be whispering that I didn’t deserve it.
If I run faster than the next guy, no argument.

  11. Because of all the gender confusion these days, and feminist demands for equality, we should eliminate “men’s” and “women’s” sports; everyone competes together, and may the best person win. Oh yeah, and in keeping with the spirit of the original olympics, all have to compete naked.

  12. If it can’t be gauged with an undeniable method of measurement….it is NOTHING more than opinion, assumption, impression, point of view or otherwise a personal judgement….Much like ‘climate change’.

  13. There’s five events I’ll watch during the Olies. Boxing, Weight Lifting, Wrestling, Greco Roman Wrestling, and Judo. I’m forced to watch the swimming event because all the kids swam competitively.

  14. OK, BFH, just to be a bit of a devils advocate, what should be done with something like figure skating. They are great athletes, have impressive artistic abilities, outstanding endurance, and many of the women are beautiful. How do you give them a mathematical score without some judgement involved.

  15. Oh so good. Soon no winners and everyone will get ‘participation medals’ and then we taxpayers can stop paying for another thing that has been spoiled by ‘global’ bullshit!

  16. Just the picture of the guys in bobsleds. Plus in a few weeks the Winter Olympics kick off. But I do agree, I appreciate not having to rely on a judgement call. Just like to stir things up a little sometimes.

  17. This kind of crap is partly to blame for the downfall of football. In the NFL, your team is required to interview at least one black person for available coaching positions.
In basketball, even some of the black players admit if you’re white and not from an Eastern European country, you can pretty much kiss a professional career goodbye.
It’s sad. Leftists saw an opportunity to grab a little fistful of power in these board positions and developed them into big, loud, competition killing marxist sledghammers.

  18. look as long as curling, ice dancing, rhythmic gymnastics and women’s anything are olympic sports the olympics hold no redeeming value to anyone.

now make deer hunting and ice fishing an olympic sport and everyone would watch.

  19. Shooting for a new low in ratings. They didn’t learn their lesson a few years ago when they spent more time broadcasting commentary about how Phelps should let the Muslim carry the flag. If only we could get a tranny in the games. Only reason I’d watch is if I knew Vonn was going to have a horrific crash and break both her legs on her first run.

  20. So what are they going to do when the Summer Olympics roll around, and everyone in the 100-meter dash is black? Put a token white guy in the race for the sake of diversity? Doubt that.
